Ok I LoVE this one!
I really love how cute the people are, given the fact that they are drawn with so little pixels! Great work!
this is awesome
Oh dude, this is just lovely. You found a great theme to fit with that palette! Composition is nice, and loved how you created depth under water. Easter eggs included :D.
Amazing job!
Really nice job, this palette perfectly matches the subject! Also, I love the sky.
This is awesome! Love the detail
So many details everywhere :o
I love this image, the shapes and the way you used the colours! And you didn't even used that many tiles to get all those details in, it's impressive!
Congrats!!
Thanks! I'm glad this is getting good reception :)
Lovely shape work! Loving the dotted cloud outlines.
I worried it would clash stylistically at first but it ended up being just what I needed to add that extra depth. :)
Love your tile work, especially how organic it feels !
That's a good compliment! I'm often concerned with the flow and balance of a scene, especially within the rigidity of a tileset, so I'm glad it pays off :)
Such a rad shot. Great use of the colour palette! How the heck did you do this with 192 GB tiles??? Or is the 'crushed' version simplifying it to fit?
I actually used 131 tiles! The aseprite tilemap feature was super useful to make sure I didn't go over the maximum but in the end I even had a little extra room :)
And the answer to "how" is a few happy coincidences and a lot of repeating tiles. The most unique tiles are kept to only a few and everything else is simple tiles reused to create the landscape!
131!!! That's insane for such a complex looking scene! Solid effort! That sounds like a useful feature on aseprite - I've been thinking I should give aseprite a go. I use Clip Studio Paint which works fine but I feel like it'd be nice to try software built specifically for pixel art 😅
Evocative and whimsical, I love it!
Thanks!
